IKI in Central America and the Caribbean

The Central America and Caribbean region includes several of the most megadiverse and climate change vulnerable countries in the world. The German government, through the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) has recognized the importance of supporting this region and, as a result, since 2008 has financed cooperation projects in the region.
